environmental policy

Environmental policy of the company Bixwood AB, a commercial intermediary and supplier of cellulose-based raw materials and semi-finished products as inputs for packaging products, shall work to ensure that operations are conducted in the most gentle way possible for the environment and employees.

We confirm here, with our signature, to comply with current national legislation as well as comply with PEFC and FSC®’s requirements and intensions.

And, as far as possible, make sure that the raw material does not come from illegal or community-unauthorised logging, key biotopes, forest areas where vested or civil rights are violated, forests where high conservation values are threatened, genetically modified trees or natural forests that have been felled for the purpose of using the area for plantations or non-forest land use.

And comply with ILO core conventions regarding:

  • Child labour

  • Forced labour

  • Discrimination in the workplace

  • Join the union, and collective bargaining agreements

Operations shall be conducted and improved in such a way as to reduce any negative impact on the environment.

The raw material shall mainly come from environmentally adapted certified forestry, pulp and paper mills, and we confirm here with our signature, to work for this volume to increase.

We shall responsibly fulfil our commitments to employees, society, the environment, and contractors.

The staff members shall be trained and informed, so that they can meet the above requirements and intentions.
